The Publishing Ministries Department of the Seventh-day Adventist church exists to proclaim the eternal gospel of hope to the world through Literature. Prophet Isaiah says, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who proclaim peace; who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who says to Zion “your God reigns”- Isaiah 52:7
Literature Ministry-Most Effective method of Evangelism
Literature Evangelists use books and publications to connect people with Jesus and share the love of God in connection with this noble duty.
Ellen G. White says, “If there is one work more important than another, it is that of getting our publications before the people, thus leading them to search the scriptures” (The Colporteur Evangelist Pg. 80). She also states, “God will soon do great things for us if we lie humble and believing at His feet — More than one thousand will soon be converted in one day, most of whom will trace their first convictions to the reading of our publication” (R&H, May 24, 1906)
The Seventh-day Adventist church Publishing Ministries Department’s global theme this quinquenium is “Bringing Hope into Every Home” – Reaching out to many people as much as possible by visiting them in their homes and places of work, leaving them with our truth filled Literature which give them hope in their family circle and the hope of life thereafter.
“Mbele Daima, Nyuma Kamwe” (Forward ever, Backward never) is the slogan our beloved army of Literature Evangelists always use as they match forward.
