about us

HISTORY:

Organised in 1981 as Western Kenya Field (WKF). It was curved from Central Kenya Conference. It was called Western Kenya Field due to its geographical position within the Republic of Kenya. It was later re-organised in 2010 as Western Kenya Conference (WKC).
Due to growth in membership and also its financial sustainability WKC gave birth to two mature Conferences, Greater Rift Valley Conference(GRVC) with its headquarters in Eldoret and North West Kenya Conference(NWKC) its headquarters in Webuye. Both the conference was re-organized on 3rd August 2015. NWKC again went ahead and produced North Rift Valley Field with its Headsquarters in Kitale and thus resuming the name Western Kenya Conference(WKC).
Greater Rift Valley Conference has again bore West Rift Valley Field (WRVF) with its headsquaters in Baraton in Nandi County. WRVF was inaugurated in January 27th 2022 by Dr. Blasious Ruguri-President of East and Central Africa Division.
